Responsible Conduct of Research Training

RCR means proposing, performing, reporting, and evaluating research in a way that merits trust by:

  • being honest, objective, and open
  • using rigorous and reproducible methods
  • adhering to ethical, professional, and regulatory standards
  • promoting and maintaining safe, inclusive, and equitable working environments
RCR Training

Research Integrity

  1. Raise Awareness
  2. Convey Norms
  3. Develop Skills

Meaningful education in RCR engages researchers in discussions about ethical practices to raise awareness, convey norms and expectations, develop skills, and provide resources for navigating ethical issues in research.

The goal of RCR training is to help researchers at all career stages (trainees, PIs, and senior personnel) understand the ethical implications of their practice and strengthen the cultures of integrity.
